http://ost.phila.gov/philly-reading-coaches/Philly Reading Coaches (PRC) is an after-school literacy program funded by the Office of Children and Families and implemented by Out-of-School time (OST) providers. PRC’s model combines early reading support, access to books, and community volunteer engagement to strengthen foundational literacy skills and encourage a love of reading for our city's children. Philly Reading Coaches is looking for volunteers to read one-on-one with K-3 students for at least one hour per week after school hours from October to May. This is a unique opportunity for community members to make a real impact in their community and build meaningful connections with young learners by making reading exciting and fun!
